Data Privacy

SECTION 1: WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

At Let’s Pack It we take very seriously data privacy. That is why security is one of our top priorities.

While going through the product portfolio of Let’s Pack It you will never find a product called “your data”. Our line of business is not selling your data, which is why we do not save your data in any kind of client database. We are convinced about the competitiveness of the products we offer and their prices, and we are sure that you will love our service. So that is where we will put our focus.

When you purchase something from Let’s Pack It, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. We never store your personal information in our data records. Any data kept from your order is linked to the submitted orders, and this is kept for two reasons: the first one is that we are obligated to do it by law, and the second one is that if you were to have any problem with the goods you purchased we need to be able to track back your order.

When you browse through our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s Internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. We do this for the only purpose of continuously optimizing and enhancing our web site, assortment, pricing, and our sites’ security. We aim to deliver you the best shopping experience online. We never store, report, monitor or use browsing information at an individual level. The aggregated data is accessed via third party tools such as, but not exclusively, Google Analytics by Google Inc. We will tell you more about this later on in section 7.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. In order to receive our emails, you may subscribe to our newsletter service. You will also have the right to unsubscribe. Please note that any communications from Let’s Pack It, such as newsletters, are subject to the general Terms and Conditions published in this site. If you have any questions about this process please don’t hesitate to contact us to LetsPackIt.com@gmail.com, we will be happy to help you.

SECTION 2: CONSENT

You are probably wondering how we get your consent; we will explain it to you in this section.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction (order), verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. We assume you need our support and the best is to contact you as soon as possible.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say «no». Don’t worry; we don’t use any subscription by default. That is simply not our style. We want to be completely transparent.

You are also able to withdraw your consent. You can do so by following what is stated in the coming paragraph.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind and you decide you don’t want to hear form us, you may withdraw your consent, at any time, by following the instructions in our communications or simply feel free to contact us at LetsPackIt.com@gmail.com. Please note that this does not mean that we will not contact you to inform you about the status of your order.

SECTION 3: DISCLOSURE

You have our commitment that we will not share your personal data with third parties. We may only disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law or if you violate our Terms of Service (which we hope will not occur).

Smoolis:

Our store is hosted on www.Smoolis.com, which is property of Smoolis GmbH. Smoolis GmbH is the provider of the online e-commerce platform that allows Let’s Pack It to sell online products and services to you.

The process of chosing Smoolis was very well thought out. We evaluated carefully all the options out there (Smoolis, Vollusion, BigCommerce, Magento, Shopify, Arsys, 1&1 My Web, among others). We chose Smoolis given its user friendly interface and ease of use. We are very happy with this choice because it gives us more time to focus on what we really know how to do: work on a great product portfolio at competitive prices.

Let’s Pack It collaborates with Smoolis with the objective of improving to make this platform a truly great place for everyone to shop online.

Working with Smoolis allows us to store your data on a secure server behind a firewall, and leveraging a variety tools, which include, without being restricted to, encryption technologies, passwords, physical and electronic security, and procedural safeguards.

All payments done at Let’s Pack It are always encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (we are sure you have seen the letters SSL before), and stored with an AES-256 encryption according to the PCI DSS (PCI-DSS) requirements. These requirements help us guarantee the secure handling of your credit card information. The third party vendor stores your purchase data only as long as is necessary to complete your transaction. After that is complete, this information will be deleted.

Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, Let’s Pack It and the payment provider follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional requirements generally accepted industry standards.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
